Our main destination for the day was Víkin, The Reykjavik Maritime Museum. This is one of the Reykjavik City Museums. Pictured above is the museum entrance closest to the downtown Reykjavik area; your GPS may steer you around the other side. But that other side has very limited parking, and it always seems full.

As I noted yesterday, the Saga Museum has moved to a new home by the harbor. Similar to the Settlement Center in Borgarnes, admission includes an audio guide, which walks you through the numbered exhibits.
We spent a fair but of time at the National Museum of Iceland today. This is a little off of the beaten path. Okay, that’s an exaggeration, since it’s less than a 10 minute walk from Tjörnin pond. But you won’t really run into it from another tourist attraction in Reykjavik.
We started our day by heading to Sólheimar eco-village. This is a small community centered around organic gardening and including all who want to be a part of it, including those with disabilities. Perhaps their “troll garden” explains it better:
